This Privacy Policy describes how "Hyper Todos" ("we", "our", or "the Extension") handles your information. Hyper Todos is committed to ensuring your privacy and protecting any data you interact with while using our Chrome Extension.

1. Data Collection and Usage

Hyper Todos is designed with a "privacy-first" approach.

• No Personal Data Collection: We do not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII) to external servers.
• No Remote Code: The Extension does not execute any remote code or scripts. Everything runs within your local browser environment.

2. Storage and Permissions

Hyper Todos uses specific browser permissions to provide its core functionality:

• storage: We use the chrome.storage.sync API to save your to-do lists, background preferences, and UI settings. This data is stored locally in your browser and synced across your devices via your Google account.
• alarms & notifications: These permissions are used exclusively to provide time-based reminders for tasks you have created with a due date. No information about your tasks or alerts is ever shared with us or any third party.

3. Data Control

Since all data is stored within your Google account's Chrome Storage:

• You have full control over your data.
• Deleting a task or resetting the Extension will remove that data from your storage.
• Uninstalling the Extension will remove all locally stored preferences.

4. Third-Party Services

Hyper Todos does not share any data with third parties. While you may use external URLs for background images, the Extension only fetches the image data to display it on your New Tab page and does not share your task data with those image sources.

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page or within the Extension's documentation.
